Thanks for replying unfortunately
I hsve no idea what you are talking about
Im referring to any common vector file created with any vector software......not files created in composer.
Artpath is suppose to open dxf and eps files but my old version doesnt...apparently its outdated and can not...
Yes 54ipm
Very slow but doable
Heck my vintage MAXNC-10 tops out at 20ipm lol and my vintage labvolt mill(sherline 5400 based) tops at 20ipm also.
For some reason the 1990s cnc technology was very slow.
I like the little maxnc..its a pretty robust little micro mill.
And just becsuse a...
Case solved...its not .250 gauge
Its .125 gauge on my d200
I just confirmed on my machine..
.whats odd is that gerber actually emailed me and said it was .125 and then emailed me back and said correction its .250 which it wasnt..
does anyone know the OEM length of the engraver head spindle...
thanks yes it seems the sabre may be a diff part and thickness part and i have yet to find anyone who has the d200 one to measure for me..gerber will not tell me the dimension and i can make my own once i get confirmation of the thickness...i do not need to buy one nor do i want to buy one.
hi GB2
im not necessarily trying to work with dxf files..typically in all my other softwares i work with eps and svg
the issue with my old old 2003 artpath version is that it wont open any vector files at all (created with newer software) so im trying to find a workaround which i did find one...
Thanks..i need to know for sure and exact
That may be for the sabre
The d200 may be diff according to my brief research
Im hoping someone actuslly has one they can measure
no i have not
im using stock omega 2.0 which has composer and artpath to create and send toolpath to my d200 and it works ok..one of the biggest downfalls of the d200 is that it is insanely slow..54ipm is ridiculous..but this is hobby for me so im leaving it as is...its a very well built cnc i...
hi
i found out the hard way that gerber requires a gauge on top of material to zero to top of surface
i set my z zero on top of my material and hit run the bit dug deep into my material...:(
anyways
does anyone know the actual thickness in 3 decimal places?
apparently its a clear piece of...
from playing around with file formats and etc..i may have found a workable workaround..if i open a freshly inkscape created eps file in composer it seems to open fine and i then resave it as GSP DXF and then open it in artpath and it seems to open fine but i can only choose gsp dxf..no other...
i only have ai cs2 which is very old program it says 2003 year ...artpath does not have import.it has open and place...both do not work.....ive been experimenting with all vectorizing softwares i have..the only one i can vectorize and open in artpath is if i use the cruddy program wintopo which...
hi
