  1. Thickest material die cut on a fc9000

I don't think it was an FC9000 but someone here mentioned cutting heavy sandblast mask material by devising flat infeed and outfeed tables so that the material stays flat and doesn't sag when being fed back and forth so that the drag on the feed rollers is minimized.
  2. Summa S2 T140 or Graphtec FC9000 140

  3. FC8000 worth it?

I’m trying to figure out the advantages of an FC 8600 over an FC8000, other than just being newer. Why are you wanting to upgrade? Are there some specific worthwhile technical improvements? Thanks, Bob

  7. Mask Cutter Recommendation

JB, thanks for your reply. I’ve looked at the Gerber GS15 Plus but thought I needed more than the 15” width. I didn’t consider tiling and maybe that works around the width limitation. I am confused about the stepper motor drive system. Thought it was less precise and mostly for low budget...
  8. SUMMA D140R - I need serious help.

From what I’ve read Summa customer service is very good. Have you tried talking to them? Of course, the first thing they will ask is are you using a Summa blade.

That blog is very useful. Thanks!
  10. Mask Cutter Recommendation

kheebl, Thanks for your reply. I think your advice is appropriate. I know this is a forum for serious professionals but sometimes it’s appreciated when you lower the bar for newbies. USCutter actually recommended their P28 PrismCut last week. The sales guy said it would cut just as well as...

Amy, I know this thread is kind of old. Did you try cutting sandblast mask with your CE5000? How did it work out? Thank you, Bob
  12. Mask Cutter Recommendation

  13. Mask Cutter Recommendation

I belong to a non-profit historical society and one of our activities is placing sandblasted granite commemorative plaques at sites of historical interest. We'd like to start making our own plaques and would like a sandblast mask cutting machine recommendation. We already have the ability to...
