  1. Holographic Rainbow Media - Sensor reading problems

Thanks for the advice. Its like Summa is somehow getting more information from the holographic. Once it goes to the third mark it doesn't make the same detect movements as the others. Its like it gets drunk and wonders off into the distance.
  2. Holographic Rainbow Media - Sensor reading problems

I ended up printed a second sheet on white and cutting the middle out, then applying it to the material. Kind of insane. I am going to run colored strips on the sides as well. When we had a Graphtec, I used scotch tape. Worked great for glossy vinyl.
  3. Holographic Rainbow Media - Sensor reading problems

Great ideas, thanks for commenting so fast.
  4. Holographic Rainbow Media - Sensor reading problems

We have a HP latex cutter 54" (summa 140 most likely). We can not get our cutter to read the registration marks on the holographic rainbow vinyl. I covered around the marks white, printed new marks and placed on top of the other marks, Made the marks super big, so far no success. Anyone have any...
  5. Trimming Vinyl off edges of substrate

Sad Day! At least you do a better job. I've considered wrapping wood panels, but never considered it on anything else. I haven't seen our vinyl ever peel off of the substrate. Anything is possible.
  6. Trimming Vinyl off edges of substrate

I just did a couple of tests with a breakaway knife and a single edge razor. The single edge razor was better with the print up, off the table. I did angle it some. If I try straight parallel, It look rough. I am doing all test on ultraboard pvc faced 1/2" foamcore. Toughest material for clean...
  7. Trimming Vinyl off edges of substrate

That is helpful info! Thanks. I'll have to try it. Xactos flex a lot. I could see breakaway blades being better with that type of motion. We have a ton of those blades here. We use something like ij35c air release but it doesn't shrink as bad. We also laminate everything vinyl. Surprisingly for...
  8. Trimming Vinyl off edges of substrate

Thanks for the all feedback. With the print facing up, do you keep the sign flat on the table? Sounds like print up is more common. Right now the other guys holds the sign up and going underneath uses a 45 degree angle. It's not as consistent as it needs to be. Plus, when we use the same...
  9. Trimming Vinyl off edges of substrate

Hello, sign community. How does everyone go about trimming the vinyl (full coverage) off of pvc, aluminum, foamcore (pvc faced), etc? For the longest time, I've trimmed them with an exacto blade with the print facing down. I would use the edge of the substrate as my guide during cutting. I have...
  10. Need Help HP Latex 115 Not Curing Fully

Thanks for the reply. It is helpful to see what others are dealing with. I did increase the interpass delay and passes without success, however. Sometimes I wonder if the software is not actually getting to temperature. I may try it with lower the optimizer, so that might be a very helpful portion.
  11. Need Help HP Latex 115 Not Curing Fully

Hey Sign Making community, I have an issue I hope one of you might know the answer to. We have an HP Latex 115 that is not curing properly. HP has replaced most of the boards, harddrive, pressure sensor (pip), air pressure sensor and all the heating elements. The machine is also clean. Mainly...
