Yea, we’ve been running this setup for 2 months now. Last week was our first issue with it. It’s very puzzling. I’m uninstalling VW now and giving that a try
I appreciate your quick responses and help
we’re using a tp-link for the switch and connected that to the router.
XR is back up but the GR’s won’t get picked up on VW. They’re connected to the computer for sure though, I was able to pull media width in the computers printer settings folder. Thank you for your help!
So I’ve reset all the IP, Subnet Mask and Gateway. I can ping all three items and get a successful response. The XR will now print but VW still refuses to acknowledge either GR. I’ve been able to pull them up in the computers printer settings and actually get the active media width. That proves...
I’ll give that a try now. Thanks! The XR says it’s connected in VW but won’t output, it keeps giving an error. Neither GR will be detected in VW to allow us to install them.
Not a stupid question at all! Just tried that and still the same issue here. We’ve set everything back up the original way and no luck making any connection to output
For the past two months we’ve been running our production with 1 XR-640 and 2 GR-640’s off the same computer/VersaWorks. It’s been beautiful!! We print all day and night and only need one shift to laminate and cut to get caught up.
We learned early that VW will quit and stop printing if either...
I'm thinking thats our issue here too. We are cutting all day long and they start to wear down after just a few days. Time to shell out a little more money for better blades. Thanks!
Thank you, we tried a different blade holder from our XR-640 with very light use. Both machines were brand new 7 months ago and the GR has done the majority of our cutting, so I thought the XR's holder would be pretty darn close to new. It provided the same results though. I bought some new...
Hey all,
So here's whats happening. Our #roland GR-640, which has been cutting great for 5 months now has just recently started cutting jobs inconsistently. By inconsistent, I mean it will cut parts of the file fine but other parts won't cut completely. In the cut piece the laminate will peel...
UPDATE: So I accidentally sent a file to cut yesterday with only 1 cut and 440 gf. Usually I send it with 2 cuts at 440... this stuff if thick! Anyways, it read all 4 marks and started cutting. I tried it again, same file right after and it stopped after the 4th mark again. So I've narrowed it...
Thank you! We separated our files yesterday. I've been using .eps files but switched to .pdf and then a print only .pdf and a cut only .pdf. Still no luck here. I'll keep trying different combinations.
Its cuts vinyl without the marks just fine. We are using a 4mil media with a 12 mil laminate, they are sports helmet decals. I was running jobs Monday morning just fine. Those were about 2' in length each job and then I loaded a job that was 5' in length and thats when it stopped after reading...
So our new Roland GR-640 works great at times and just doesn't work other times. This situation is baffling me. We ran a print (on XR-640) and cut on (on GR-640) last week with this same artwork file (approx 3,400 kb). The previous project was about 8' in length, the GR read all 4 marks and cut...
Hey everyone, first time posting here but I've been reading a bunch of older threads about different topics. So thank you to everyone for helping me without knowing haha
We just got some new machines in and I'm still getting the hang of them. We got the Roland XR-640 with WhMT options. Before...
