I had some problems with mine. I think some of it has to do with the buffer settings..somewhere somebody posted a bunch of changes to make to the settings and my machine started working way better.

AVG has worked fine for me. Multiple computers for years with no viruses.

I have a master cutter...did you get the usb cable from desay? Usually the ones from staples etc don't work. If not is sounds like you may have your port setting wrong and need to go into the device manager and change it.

I just got a package from signwarehouse...while the jury is not out on the customer service i can say that i am happy with the cutter and they give you tons of stuff in the start up package to get going. I think the enduracut with package 3 would be great for a start. I started with a ebay...

I'm running lxi8 on vista...I had flexi basic and it worked with no problems. When i went to lxi8 it wouldn't run at first...then i fiddled with some setting and now its fine

I started with a cheap one off of ebay and now use it as my backup. Nice way to get started.

my laptop has 2gigs of ram and runs pretty good. My biggest complaints are the popups every five seconds asking stuff and the problems with simple stuff like printers. Odd think is that my q60 with lxi 8 runs great on it.

My favorite on the master machine is halfway thru a project it just drags the blade thru all of your work and you have to start over...its fun.

im happy with my Q60. Have a cheap ebay one too..made nice money with it but its no comparison to the q60. Sign warehouse is running some decent weekly specials on it too...you can get one right around $2100 ...they even send you some vinyl, banner material and a good bit of software to get going.

i was just checking out the sf automation...the z when lower cased has the break. Does that help.
