floor graphics

  1. Need a floor graphic for indoors that will hold up to automated robotic forklift traffic?!

I'm stumped. I laminated floor graphics with 3M 3645 knowing full well there would be forklift traffic but not being aware that these are actually robotic forklifts on a regular path. Within two days the robots had torn holes in the laminate. I don't necessarily need a non-skid or a laminated...
  2. Outdoor Sidewalk Decals

We have a school that wants some outdoor sidewalk decals. I have printed some samples on the Briteline Multigrip material and the 3M 40C Controltac with the floor laminate. Neither of these are staying down on our sidewalk here at work. It has been raining quite a bit, but we tried when the sun...
  3. Canon iPF81000 for Floor Graphics?

Hello Hive Mind, I've recently moved to a support role with in a larger company of print shops and I have a shop that is looking to do some floor graphics for in shop use. Normally I'd have no problem, I've done floor graphics on solvent, UV, and latex machines, except that is not what they...
  4. What material should we use for 6ft spacing floor decals

I work primarily with schools and they want custom 6ft floor spacing decals for their outdoor sidewalks, inside hallways and office carpet. I'm leaning towards trying to make 40c/8509 work but I'm pretty sure that won't work on cement and I'm nervous it won't be anti-slip enough. Any suggestions?
  5. Looking for a wholesaler to provide printed promotional rugs

I'm searching for a wholesale company to provide rugs with business logos printed on them. I don't usually sell these items but I think I'd like to explore this market since one of my customers asked about them last week . Any help is appreciated!
  6. Short Term Outdoor Floor Graphic (24 hours) - Can I skip the overlaminate?

We have a customer requesting a large (2000 sqft) outdoor concrete walkway graphic that will be used for a one-time special event and then immediately removed (24 hours or less). Can I skip the overlaminate or is that too risky? Any product recommendations that will keep material costs as low...
  7. Dancing on vinyl

I have a client (actually his fiancée) that want vinyl initials on the dance floor, I guess this is a new thing. The dance floor is laminate 20'x20' I have attached a pic. Has anyone done this? What kind of vinyl do I use that will hold up to a night of dancing and be able to be removed...

  9. Need Help Floor graphic calamity

A local elementary school wanted paw prints in their halls. I went with a long term removable vinyl with a textured floor graphic overlaminate. I told the (brand new) principal that after they were installed they would need several coats of wax if they're going to survive the school year (this...
  10. Looking for a comparable vinyl to ij40C, that will stick to vinyl rolled flooring.

I have always used 3M-IJ40c-r for a fair amount of my floor graphics. The adhesive always seem to stick well to many different substrates. Can anyone help me in a little less expensive substitute that will stick to commercial vinyl flooring.
