For Sale 1998 Chevy Bucket Truck

Up for sale is my bucket truck. I bought it about 2 years ago with plans to do sign face replacements, bulb changes, sign hanging, banners, etc. I just haven't got the sales to justify making the payment every month and want to see it go to a good home.

1998 Chevrolet 3500 $24,500 o.b.o.
  • 350 C.I. V8
  • Just over 50,000 miles
  • Manual 5-speed transmission
  • 2 wheel drive
  • Dually
  • 35' working height bucket
  • Electric over hydraulic system
  • Manual windows
  • Manual locks
  • No radio or A/C
  • No cruise control
  • Bench seat
  • Flat bed with headache rack
  • Tool boxes under bed
  • 2 fuel tanks
Since I've owned the truck I have had all fluids and filters replaced and bearings repacked. New MAF sensor. Clutch was replaced earlier this year, but the 3rd gear synchro should be replaced. It has dual fuel tanks but I had the rear tank disconnected as I wasn't putting many miles on the truck and did not want to deal with stale fuel coming up from the rear tank. It can be reconnected easily if you use it a lot and need the range.

Lift batteries are kept on a charger when parked. The lift gears are inspected and greased before each use. There is no gear wear. Has a 2 5/16" ball so you can tow a bigger trailer if needed.

I used the bucket for hanging signs on buildings, a banner over a highway, bulb replacements, pylon sign face replacements, Gemini letter installations, tree trimming at my father's house, gutter cleaning at my house, painting.

The lift arm is hydraulic only, so you do not need to worry about extension cable service or replacement.

If interested email me at indianasignage at gmail dot com or call 765 431 4315. You can reply here or PM me but I've been busy enough I don't get to check it as often as I used to.

It does not have hydraulic outriggers but it does have "slide out and pin" riggers.

Its a gasser, I didn't want to deal with diesel and I figured if anything went wrong there are Chevy 350 engines in every back yard.

I'm definitely going to miss it but my business is going in more of a direction that is not making use of the truck and I can use the money for different equipment.
