Does anybody have 3M certification (scotchprint )? Is it worth it? We are thinking about it, just not sure if it works and how much business it will bring.

Perhaps a better question is, are you a printing company that does installs -or- are you an installation company that does printing?

not a big deal. It might bring you some install only work from bigger sign companies outside your area...We recently received a massive contract from a 3M cert. installer.. and we're not...so again i guess it all depends.

Not that we don't want to become certified.... taking 3 days off of work is really hard no a days.. we're busy.

My question is IF a job is installed by a CERTIFIED 3M installer does this help with product failure?. What Im getting at is if 3M says a product will last 7 years and in 6 it starts to fail with the fact it was installed by a certified installer helpt to recoup it?...Im thinking not

I doubt that being a 3m cert installer is going to keep things from failing stuff happens to graphics. A good installer is a good installer weather hes 3m cert or not all it does for you is put you and your companies names on list that will draw you business. There are 3 levels of 3m cert one as 3m pref installer one as an actual 3m cert installer and one as a 3m cert company wich requires you to have a cert installer working at your company. All take a lot of time and money and sure there is some pay off but who knows.
