2 color logo on a van roughly 30" tall 2 sides and a back for 400 I gave him a break in the first place and then he said it was to high still?

Am I to high? Or is he high on glue?

He is high on glue

I would be charging $400 EACH side & back if all the same.

& your overhead expenses are higher then mine.

At $400 for 2 color 30" about 6 to 8 ft long you already spent that on vinyl for 2 rolls just to get them now you you only have a little over a 100 ft left not much profit is there.

Advertising has a great value, A good job will bring in 25% increase in business while the van is on the road maybe a new client each week or even every day.

One of my trucks brought a new client every hour while it was parked while doing work.

At $1200 now you have profit to pay your wages.

Let the other guy have it for less than $400. Don't even argue with the guy or beat yourself up about it. There's idiots all around us..... and some are purple, green and into porn.

high on glue, most definately.
up-sell your services rather than letting him under-value his image.

I don't price match unless the job is over 3,000.

And that's if he shows me a quote that they're using the same material as me.

It's not worth the hassle for a couple hundred... the price is the price

I quoted $800 for 2 color cut vinyl lettering.. Actually, I quoted $950 for two color, and $800 for one color... And we settled on $800 for the two color layout.

That being said, a little while later another customer came in whose van we lettered last year... Slightly smaller square foot, but multi-colored, and I only charged $380. D'OH!!

How many sq ft on each panel? Telling the height means nothing
To me, that doesn't matter. I don't sell signs by the pound but by their advertising power.
How much would the guy merrily dump into a one year Yellow pages ad or similar?
A lettered van works for him 24/7/365.

What if he parks in a garage when not in use and over the weekends ??
