I've pulled out plenty of times, but I can't remember if any of them were red heads.

Insert innuendo here lol: Anyway, you probably just have ink build up on the bottom of the head which kind of acts like a glue. You might just need to clean around where the head touches the bracket it sits on with come cleaning solution to see if that loosens it up.
