I've come across this a few times, but have never gotten a solid answer on why aluminum VS acrylic.
I've got 2 projects going and both customers requested 1" deep aluminum channel letters, stud mounted with pads; I proposed an option B which is 1" thick routed acrylic letters at almost half the cost.... Both times they still have gone with aluminum.
Can anyone tell me longevity wise, what is better? Painted aluminum or painted acrylic?
