Blackout/Double sided banner

I just used up my roll of Bantex 18 oz blackout banner material and have a couple of reorder options: 1 - get another roll of Bantex, 2 - try the Ultra Flex 18 oz (1000x1000 denier), or 3 - try the Koma 16 oz (1000x1000 denier). Anyone have any thoughts or experience with the Ultra Flex (is it worth the extra money?) or the Koma (is it any good?). THANKS!

We use both. On uv printers.
Ultra flex we use for boulevard banners. Prints nice. Had some bad rolls about 6 months ago but were replaced. No problems since.
Koma we use for double sided banners. More scrim feel but also prints well on uv curable.
So uv printers both are good.

We use the KOMA only-- small shop no material confusion :0)

Its a great material-- Prints great and doesnt curl. However theres a few deals, you loose the last 15 - 20 foot from lines in the material. Apparently they fold a 1" piece to start the roll off. The in turns makes a bumped up line from top to bottom. -- We are currently switching to something different and looking around.

Agreed. We also only use Koma, keeps things simple, and the cost is not a factor since we don't do mass produced $2/sq ft banners.

I love the fact that it just plain doesn't curl, even with a freshed printed and trimmed dark color bleed. This was the biggest reason we decided to stick with it, even when we always lose 8 to 10 feet on the end.

It's also a nice selling point that the banners are a heavier weight than the average "other guy".

We typically use the UltraFlex 18 oz. and have good results printing on either/both sides and on both our Roland and flatbed when necessary.
