Can You Wrap A Vehicle's Emblem?

I have customer who is going to be getting a full wrap. The rear of the truck has a large FORD emblem on the back that they don't want removed and just want their graphics to be wrapped over top of it. Is this possible? Will the vinyl stick to the emblem or do I need to prim it first? Torch heat it?

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
Remove it, wrap it, and re-install it. It's just held on with VHB tape.

Or remove the Ford badge, make a new one and dome it. That's what I did on the tailgate of my F250. The dome treatment doesn't attain the same height as the Ford badge but nothing to compare who's going to know?

Wrap vinyl will stick fine, the 2017 Ford tailgate ovals are so flat that what goes over them isn't distorted much.
