I am having an cutting issue with chrome rtape. I print and laminate with crop marks on my Roland VS -640, when i go to cut out the logo it is off by about a 1/16th of an inch even after triple checking i had the vinyl straight in the machine. 20171214_133725[1].jpg

We used to cut the same material on our VS-540 without issues, but that isn't going to help you.
Maybe try cut out some (12mm I think) black dots to stick over the printed ones just in case the IR module isn't reading them precisely enough. That would be my first thing to test.

You could cut out and surround the dots with white If you suspect a registration issue. This type of film can also slip easily. I would do a test with an extremely slow cutting speed to rule out slipping.
