Clear aluminum sandwich

I'm looking for a dibond-like material that has a clear core instead of a black core.
Does this exist?

I think its NUDO? a translucent white, I have a piece right in front of me but there is no label

What is the purpose of the aluminum? Is the idea to have an opaque graphic on the front but the sides edgelit? If that is in fact what your customer wants, couldn't you just put opaque graphics on plexi/polycarb?

Sapphire is single crystal aluminum oxide (Al[SUB]2[/SUB]O[SUB]3[/SUB]).

A bit pricy, though, and somewhat brittle. :Big Laugh

Why a clear center? There has to be a reason... ?

i've mounted aluminum to thick acrylic, forward bevel cut it and polish the edge. it's a really popular finish option. don't think it's ever a stock option.
