Anybody know what type of glue or whatnot works best to adhere clear plastic letters onto a clear plastic substrate?

Weld-On makes a product that is as thin as water and works by "wicking". This also leaves a visible bond line. Maybe using a mounting(double-sided) optically clear laminate would be better.

Yes, it is acrylic. Any spray adhesives that you could think of - or is that a bad idea?

use a chemical bonding agent.
There will be a section in our master mind weekend about using acrylic and bonding agents and other processes to have crystal clear articles when finished.

First you make sure the finished edges are crystal clear.
Next do not flame polish them.
Then mate the surfaces to be sure they are flat
Number next apply the clear bonding agent.

They make a UV activated crystal clear glue for glass...perhaps something like that also exists for acrylic.
