Does anyone know how to clean the ink lines on a mimaki jv33? Looks like ink is dried up in the middle of the lines and its preventing an ink fill. I tried pulling ink from the bottom of the capping station thru the head but no luck. Thanks in advance!

Usually you don't change ink lines unless it is broken. We had to repair a few Roland and Mimaki printers with solid ink clog. It has sat there for good 3 -5 years. Ink lines were okay.

So, to really want to clean out the ink lines. There are several ways. Most likely, changing cap top and cap top is necessary.

1. Manually draw. Remove the ink cartridge, empty out the ink line until you see air by using a syringe drawing ink from the waste line. Plug one of the two waste lines. Insert cleaning cartridge and repeat the above. Do that twice. Leave the cleaning solution in the lines over night. Now. Empty the lines again. Proceed to change cap top or damper. Empty the ink line, Insert quality ink cartridge, prime the line. Turn on the machine. Do couple normal cleans. Do nozzle check.

2. Let the machine do its job. Purchase cleaning cartridge, insert to both same color cartridge slot. Perform three strong cleans. Leave the cleaning solution in the machine overnight. Next day, insert ink cartridge to both same color again. Perform three strong cleans. Do nozzle check. Sometimes without manually draw ink lines you can't clear out bubbles. Depends on the usage of the cap top. Hope it helps.
