colour lines appearing in prints - Roland VP300

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help me with an issue I am having.

I am getting lines printed in my prints.

I have 4 new heads and its been calibrated and setup correctly by an experienced technician.

At first it was all working well until I changed software.

I thought might be the media so changed that over and now I am using media specific profiles.

The line colours do vary and sometimes there are more printed lines and in other colours as well.

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks

Resolved..

Depending on how busy I am I only use my printer 4 hours or so a week. On this usage I was only
cleaning the print heads manually once a month or so. I spoke with my technician today after sending him
a message and an image who told me to check under the print heads where there could be some fluff and
they could be causing the lines as he was baffled what else it could be.

He was right and the lesson was learnt. I will make sure I clean under the print heads on a weekly basis
or as soon as any lines are created. The lines are created by the fluff being inked up and dragging along the
vinyl while printing.

Thanks for replying.

You're right.

I have had these in different colours and in multiple rows dead straight.

I suspect this fluff that creates the scuff marking is coming off the capping tops so will see if there are any
premium quality ones that can be purchased.
