    Howdy M@ck!

I know this is a very old thread, so apologies for upping it. However I do have some experience with the CS-Tidy-41 I would like to share with the community here.

I run a hat company, and we actually grommet all of our hats in house. We purchased their CS-TIDY 41 Pneumatic Grommet Press. Upon arrival it came with some missing pieces, including no owners manual. This was no big deal and they sent us the correct pieces promptly. The automatic foot press did not work either, but we decided to just use the machine as is, and not worry about it.

Fast forward, one month into ownership, the machine started to crack on both sides of the arm. A structural error, but it still functioned fine.
About 2 or 3 months in, the machine started leaking internally. I contacted their service department and was told the best course of action would be to send the machine in to have it fixed.

I send the machine in, and for 2 weeks, was left entirely in the dark. No emails, no calls. I tried reaching out and no one ever got back to me. After a while, I start to worry and finally get ahold of their technician. She tells me there is nothing they can do to fix the machine, but they will send us a new machine. All that sounds good, in the end of the day we just wanted a functioning machine.

Then I get a call claiming we voided the warranty by installing a small eyelet into a small hole that helps keep the spring in place...and somehow by doing this, we voided the warranty. I told her there must be some mistake, that we didn't do anything of the sort. She then insisted it was us, and would not listen any further. Regardless of who did it, it makes no sense how this minor external modification would have anything to do with why the machine is leaking, internally.

They proceed to send me a photo of the "modification" next to another machine that had not been modified...the two machines had numerous differences in just the one photo.... so they were clearly slightly different versions of the same model.

So, I request a refund and wish to just move on. I was okay with paying the 20% restocking fee as listed on their website for returns. They deny my refund request due to the "modification". I then file a simple Paypal Dispute, which was surprisingly lost due to Paypals policy on "Buyers Remorse"...I guess buying a product that breaks and wanting it fixed or a refund is not protected by Paypal. Bummed there because I thought Paypal really protected their buyers better...considering they protect scam artists when they have purchased from our store.

From there, they send the machine back to me. Luckily they claimed to be in working condition, and nothing was wrong with the machine in the first place. They could "never replicate the problem" I opened the machine, attach it to our air compressor hose and it didn't leak! Well...for the first minute. After a few presses that familiar hissssss came back, and the machine is leaking internally, exactly as it was before I had sent it in.

So countless hours, frustration and time spent on this company. Had they just replaced or fixed my machine I would have remained a loyal company and spent thousands on grommets with them over the years. Instead, they sold me a faulty product, called me a liar, refused to honor their warranty and are just a shady company with no integrity. They blames me every step along the way and simply had no interest in helping out.

I hope no one else makes the same mistake we did trusting Metalgrommets.com with our hard earned money. Lesson learned the hard way - some companies just don't care.

If anyone has any specific question in regard to this please let me know and I would be happy to answer it.
