Cutting fluid Choices - Dry Cutting Alum

We have a misting system on our larger CNC's that uses a vegetable based oil. The oil lubricates good but I feel like if we can control the chip load and get the RPM high enough we can evacuate the heat in the chip and avoid using oil.

Does anyone have experience dry cutting aluminum 5051 or 6061 plate?

Are there other choices of cutting fluids?

Thanks

we personally use alcohol for cutting non-ferrous metals such as brass and aluminum. You have to be careful they sell special misting systems for alcohol though because the o-rings and tubing needs to be able to take the alcohol for long periods of time. I've seen aluminum dry cut in those specific series but we've never tried it.

Thanks Ditchmiester,

Do you have a misting system you can recommend? We currently have a Trico Micro Drop 1200 misting system on the larger CNC's
