Double Strike on Mutoh VJ1204

Working on translucent prints... is "passes" the same thing as "double strike"? Wanting to ensure proper display of colors. :thankyou:

menu -- setup -- Overwrite Cnt.

This is what you're looking for, I think. Set if for 2 or 3 for translucent prints.

Has anyone else tried this method for getting a double pass of ink for transluscents? I tried it on 1204 and it doesnt seem to work:frustrated:

The RIP will override the printer settings.
So make sure the RIP is set up for Overwrite Cnt
You will want an Overwrite Wait to allow the ink time to dry before putting down the second pass.
0.5 sec is a good place to start.
Your actual time will vary depending on media and environmental conditions.
