Encad with Pig Inks

Hi,
I have an Encad 850 running with CMYK Encad Genuine GX inks, I am considering changing to a non Encad Pigmented Ink - could anyone advise if I am likely to experience any new issues running, ie carts die earlier, prints harder to dry ?
I assume the light fastness is much better, but at the cost of colour gamut.

the carts are like $8 a piece - why don't you try and tell us all how it worked for ^%^% sake?
