Need Help Flexi & Rasterlink color missing

I have files that i create in flexi - send to rasterlink to print. when in rasterlink, the black is gone from the print.
I have to go back and take apart my drawing, change the black to black (i know right) and then it might be there.
Of course they each blame each other - "not my program" - so it has to be me. Anyone else have this problem and did you find a cure for it all the time?
This does not happen each time.

It has to be some sort of effect or design method that Rasterlink is not being able to interpret. What if you save the file as a PDF and open it in Rasterlink directly? Does it do the same thing?
