looks like sign gold.....and it is VINYL NOT PAINT...... so i would bet its a an available font. dont these fire dept keep records, of the type they use on trucks.......so they can match future vehicles???

Fire dept's don't have those records since lettering is done before it leaves the builder. If it's a Pierce rig it may be proprietary. If it is Pierce don't bother calling, they won't tell you.

I wish they would, This truck was bought used and I'm now putting new town name on it but leaving township

As J Hill said, it is LHF Burbank. This font was based off of an old American LaFrance factory font.
