Gerber Edge FX Print Issues

After receiving a new keypad ,the FX now starts up.
But test printing shows pixels out aver 1.5" or so.
See pics.
I was told to re-seat the head cable.
I even checked the continuity of each wire in the ribbon cable.
It may not be the cable ?
Anyone have this kind of problem ?

With the consistent spacing, its tempting to say its a print head cable...So I would re-seat the cables inside the machine. - both on the 2-axis board and the CPU board.
also check the voltage to the head- off the back of the power supply. - let me know the Ohms rating on the head, and I can tell you what the voltage should be.

Hello,

I was advised to check the print head cable in the FX. . Even checked the continuity on every wire.
Gerber sent me another cpu board. Same results.
Where is the 2 axis board in the FX ?
The Ohm rating on the head is 1317.

Thank you

Hello - so your Printhead voltage for 1317 Ohms head should be 22.1Volts. You can check this at the leads on the top closer to the printhead, or off the back of the power supply.

sorry - the FX may not have this board. Do you only have one board in the unit?

So I checked the voltage while doing a test print. 21.9 v

I have a service manual .
It say for 1316 ohm - 1329.0 ohms it should be 22.1 exactly as you stated.
Will this be significant to the output?
I know just enough to get by and learn some.
Gerber sent me another board. Same results.
I really appreciate your input on this !

Thank you

p.s. Only one board.
