Graphix Gone on BBQ?

Cleaning the BBQ stainless is a PITA after every use. Today I tried Graphix Gone to get rid of all the residual I couldn't otherwise clean and it worked great. Followed it up with isopropyl alcohol to clean it up. This is all exterior surfaces, no food cooking surfaces.

Any downsides to this?

I can't imagine there's any down side to this, since you're not applying it to food prep surfaces.

I use RapidPrep as a degreaser and bug, tar, and poo remover before washing and detailing my car and I've found it works great, possibly as well or better than some automotive specific products.
