Green Lines

I know that grays are difficult. Does anyone have any idea what is causing these green lines in the grays? When I run it again, lines seem to be pretty consistent in placement. Feed direction indicated by arrow. Roland 540spi, Avery 1105.

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
Clean the encoder strip and possible change the dampers. That pattern is fairly common for encoder issues and ink drop out issues.
