Has anyone seen this issue before? JV33-160

Our tech support team seems to be stumped as to why the magenta is doing this. I've cleaned the encoder strip and see no scratches or ink. What could it be? Any thoughts???

Printer head, encoder strip and encoder sensor can cause this problem.
You have to check them one by one.
How long did your printer head work?
If clear is useless, you can try change a new encoder strip and sensor.

The pattern of the defect looks similar to most electrical issues I have seen on these machines. I would check the head cable for damage or bad connection. If you had a bad head strike recently it could have jostled the cable out of position. What does the nozzle check look like?

Thanks. I don't think we've ever changed the head. The encoder strip is fairly new.

Nozzle check looks almost perfect with the exception of a little cyan missing. I was actually just told by the tech company that there was some sort of recall for the printer some time back. HDC-FPC and that a Field Change Order was not completed on it. That's definitely electrical so we'll see.
