Heater / Dryer settings

Concerning Heater and Dryer settings on my SP540V. Typically they are between 37 and 40 with the profiles I use. From the front of the machine I can feel that the platen is warm for post heat so it seems from the rear the platen should also be warm from the pre-heater however it is cool to the touch.
Just wondered if I may be having heater problems.

The SP 300 only has two heaters and without an Sp540 in front of me I am assuming it also only has two heaters. The middle platen(the one the head runs over) and post platen should be the only ones that heat up. Try cranking the heat up all the way on the print platen and all the way down on the post platen to see if you can feel the heat in the middle. If not, I would say you have a heater problem(most likely a bad thermistor but could be the actual heating element).

The SP540 shows a temperature for "Print Heater" and "Dryer". So I would assume also only two sources.
