Help needed! - DX5 Printhead throwing a mist of ink whilst on a cleaning cycle.....

Dear all,

New forum so apologies in advance if this is in in the wrong section!

Please see the video of the cleaning cycle and note the amount of ink that is sprayed into the air.

This ink is drying in the air then covering the machine in ink dust.

Any advice as to how we can stop this would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure what brand of machine you have but it looks Chinese. The problem is that the cap top is too low when the head fires. Look in your menus to see if there is a capping adjustment. There should be a setting for how high the cap top is when the head fires the nozzles to clear them out. The cap top should be as close to the head as possible without touching it and that should fix the issue.
