Need Help How to setup 30" vinyl on 54" Roland SP-540V

Hi,

I'm trying to load the 30" vinyl onto my 54" SP-540V but the scanner just picked up 19.5" width of vinyl because the scanner cannot go all the way to the left to detect the entire width of 30". It stopped at my last pinch roller.

Please see the picture, there is no more room for me to insert another pinch roller for the scanner to perform a full scan.

Advice needed. Thanks.

The left pinch roller has to be on the edge of the material. This machine measures where the pinch rollers are not the actual media.

Thanks VanderJ.
However, I was told all the pinch rollers need to only be restricted on the silver tab (circle in picture). I tried to put the pinch Roller outer of the silver tab (on the right of the media clamp) but the machine display error of "Pinch Roller Invalid Left POS".

That is correct. So you have to move the media to a position where it will line up. The right pinch roller has a much larger valid area for that reason.

Ooh....That makes sense. I did not think of that. This is my 1st experience with large format printer.

Thanks again!
