I like making signs
That's right folks! If you are in need of a 54 year old Graphic Designer/Interior Architectural Designer/Exterior Architectural Designer/Cosmetologist/Marketing Specialist/Soon to be Flight attendant...I have just the guy for you!!!
This fabulous guy came in yesterday and asked me if I could help him. He wanted to know how to upload his portfolio booklet into some program I never heard of. I said, "I have no idea, I just make signs." He then asked me if I knew about 15 other graphics programs...I only recognized Photoshop - he looked at me like I was an idiot. He then began to tell me that he has 3 degrees and he's a cosmetologist, has a certificate in Marketing and he's going to school to be a flight attendant. I asked him 3 times where he worked but he never gave me an answer. He asked if I ever need a graphic designer, I said yes, sometimes it would be handy for the stuff I don't like doing. Then he proceeded to tell me how easy all the graphic programs are, how he would redecorate my shop, how he would change the exposure on the prints I have hanging up and how the humidity was affecting my prints and how I can adjust that. He also said most printers print using RGB...hmm. He was FULL of little tips on how to Photoshop and various other programs, he knew just about everything about EVERYTHING! He also told me abut how he uses his great talents to help people choose paint colors for their homes, but it rarely goes well so he won't do that anymore.
AND...if I would ask him to do an "up-do" (a hairstyle for a wedding, prom, etc.) , he won't do it!!!! Because "all the girls want spirals and I will NOT have my good name associated with a "spiral".
I knew I should have left at 5...what a STRANGE EXPERIENCE!
