Issue with sporadic streaks?

This was printed on Avery Trans (attached photo) on an HP365 and isn’t everywhere, just on certain letters/numbers. There’s no other streaking or hazy lines anywhere else, no other inconsistencies. The print just ahead of this one came through fine. It is, however, only on the top portion of each letter that has the defect. Suggestions?

i would take a look at your printhead test plot and see what you get there. take pics and report back. hard to say. only the first pic i saw could really see anything.

the first pic was the error, the others are on the same print without the weird streaks, and the last pic is the first print of the same "y" that came out just fine. the print we just ran after it came out fine as well... isolated, but I want to know why for future reference.

hmm. can you look at the makeup(CMYK value) of that yellow color? trying to see if the yellow lettered area is supposed to have the magenta in the color itself. otherwise that could be cross contamination of the colors some how.

it’s an RGB R252, G197, B36

converted to CMYK it's C 1.569%, M22.745%, Y92.941%, K 0, but it was run as the RGB.

Had the printer sat off for a while? Off, not just asleep. If it's asleep, it keeps cleaning the printheads every so often. This almost looks like a slightly clogged printhead that got revived quickly.

It had not been off, it ran the fine one then the bad one, and the third right behind. I'm inclined to agree that it was just random clog that cleared itself out on our print. C'est la vie.

yeahh. the most obvious is often the culprit. im gonna assume it had either a bit of ink built up or picked up something on the carraige that blocked some nozzles briefly and the cleaning kit/maintenance cart swooped it off after a few passes.
