jv3 160 sp 3rd party inks?

Our cartridges are running about $145.00 a piece. Yet I see some inks selling for $55.00 each (certifiedcartridges.com). Does any body use 3rd party ink? What works the best? Just curious, but if we can save a few bucks on ink, i mean, why not???

i use bordeaux-brand on my jv3. works great, no issues.
only noticeable difference, besides approx. 65% the cost, is a heavier solvent-smell... but i've learned to love it. Smells like $$$ now.

yup!
almost 10 years now.
4 of which being with bordeaux inks.

plenty of threads on here about 3rd party inks. pros/cons, etc. main reason not-to, would be that it voids the warranty of your printer.
other than that, I can't see why not... besides some other brands out there that have reviews claiming they ruined their printheads.
