JV33-133 heating issue?

Greetings,

I'm really not sure at all what causes this issue. (just a guess its heater related). This problem occurs randomly and not consistently by any means. It also only occurs on 1 of our 2 mimakis.

If you look at the pic, you can see some sort of distortion on the blue between the arrow and the bottom of the handicap symbol. This runs vertical down the print, the same direction the materials feeds out of the machine.





Any ideas about this? Sorry it’s so vague.

your preheat is too high.Depending on what media you are using you may want to adjust accordingly.
Adhesive backed I typically use the preheat at 27, platen heat at 27 and crank the post heat up to around 37.Banner media I use at 40 40 40.

Thanks for the insite, I will try lowering my preheat settings and see what I get.
