Latex ink cartridge life

We run a L260.
Is it advisable to run an ink cartridge after it's expiration date?
Will there be color shifts due to its expiration?
Just curious on how everyone handles it.

Well any damage you impose in the printheads and ink delivery system will not be covered either, so I would say cover your arse and buy new ink

I'm pretty sure your machine won't let you use expired ink. Mimaki lets me use expired ink for up to 2 months.

it'll let you but make you go thru a few messages to actually run it. basically they just say its on you for loading it, on you if it causes problem, fully pushing liability onto the customer and off of hp.

i would shake that cartridge more than I've ever shaken a cartridge in my LIFE! ....but I would still use it. worst-case, you gum up a $100 printhead (doubtful). best case, you've salvaged a $140 ink cartridge. worth the risk.
