Liquid Salt

Has anyone else having issues with vinyl failing at the top cut edge this last year? This is the first year I have seen this and I have about pin pointed it to only vehicles and ones that have been contact with liquid salt. We have been having the issue with 3m 40c

If that were the differentiator we wouldn't be able to tell--every vehicle is exposed to salt.

Normally around here they used rock salt. This last winter they used liquid salt.

Here in PA they’ve been using brine solution for years , it’s hell on graphics and cars if you don’t keep up with proper cleaning . I’ve seen lots of “foggy” wraps from people scrubbing over the last few years - most were never educated on how to clean

People up north use it to get the ice of the roads. LOL

Yes, we see it on tankers and semi roof fairings. I believe it is caused from ice. It damage the vinyl when it slides down while melting off.
