Mimaki JF-1631 Woes... This time - WATER LACK error

Disclaimer - This machine has been slated to be sold since I started this job a year ago, and recently we had a tech come in to clean it up and get it running and ready to sell, which he did. Now we need to use it for a big project, and the tech is AWOL. I am not familiar with the machine except that I grabbed the owners manual and started from page 1, and actually got some nice results on some test prints before thanksgiving. I have been trying to contact anyone that may still have one of these machines to get some pointers, so if you read this and may be able to give some advice, please PM me.

Now I'm getting a WATER LACK error at startup. Water tank is full with antifreeze/water mix. Lines appear to have water in them. The "primer pump" on the side of the water tank doesn't appear to be pulling water though.

Are there any current/previous owners that can shed a light on what may be happening?

I've never worked on that machine so take this with a grain of salt. On the JFX200 they have a float sensor to measure the level of the coolant. If the float gets stuck, which I have never seen happen yet, it would cause the machine to think it is not full enough and not run the pump. It could be a bad sensor, pump, and or a leak somewhere.

Thanks for the feedback. I emptied the tank, refilled it with the antifreeze/water mix, put everything back in place and the error went away. :banghead:
