So Ive been a long time Roland SP-300v user and have come to really like the Roland Versaworks program. Recently i managed to snag a working Mimaki jv3-160sp from craigslist free, and am looking for suggestions on what software to use to run it. my OS is Win 10 64bit.

Purchase a RIP that will control both printers with 1 software. For example Onyx.
Do you really need a RIP software to run large format prints?

so if i am just doing a single run since this will be primarily a one time banner printer i can just print directly to the machine?
