Hello everyone, I’m new to the print industry and I was wondering what do y’all think about the Mimaki cjv 200 series ? I know it barely came out but should I consider getting that one or maybe the Mimaki cjv 150

You probably won't get a lot of answers as the first ones are just shipping. In my experience, new models almost always come out with some rough edges that need to be smoothed out. Since you're starting out, that just adds more learning curve to the whole process. That being said, based on the specs and pricing, the CJV200 looks to be more of an entry level printer which could be right for you. It's about 60-70% slower than the 150 but other than that, it's very much like the 150 when it comes to features.

We'll be installing one in a few weeks so I'll be able to get my hands on it to learn more but to me, it's basically a 150 with a newer, slower head.
