We do custom airbrush work and are trying to make our way into the motorcycle helmet market. We've purchased some ClearFocus ClassicView perforated vinyl to paint on and apply to the face shield which is simple enough. The problem we're having is how to protect that vinyl.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what t use on a surface that is so curved? Would ClearFocus Curvalam work?
One option would be to apply a clear coat of some sort to the vinyl prior to application except I'd like to not only protect the paint on the vinyl but the holes in the vinyl as well. If I only clearcoat the vinyl the holes will be exposed to fill up with dirt, water, bugs, etc... So I've been looking at these protective films but wanted to check with the folks here that have dealt with them before I spend $100+ on a roll to test with.
Thanks!
