Mutoh value jet 1304 printing issues

hello was hoping someone can tell me what is causing my printer to print like the pic attached.
It looks like it lighter in areas. Thanks

That is most likely a dirty/damaged encoder strip or media buckling during the print. Clean the encoder strip with alcohol and turn the heat settings down if the print is buckling during the print. If the encoder strip is cloudy and not a nice shinny, slightly tinted, clear color, you probably need to replace it.

I will check the encoder trip. As for the media
Buckling would it be enough to notice it buckling?

Yeah you would be able to see it. Anywhere the media has a little hump in it, the ink will lay down lighter.
