I.D. Signs - Graphic Designer / Production Specialist
I.D. Signs is a full service sign company in Springfield, Illinois. We are looking for a full time in house Graphic Designer & Production Specialist to design multiple types of signs, logos, banners and vehicle graphics. As well as run the production of the aforementioned items.
Candidate must have prior professional experience in graphic design; experience within the sign industry is a plus. The ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, manage large workloads, and be productive in a fast paced office environment is necessary. Candidate must also be able to complete tasks with minimal micro-management in an organized and timely manner. An ideal candidate will be able to use their creative skills to think outside the box and create appealing, fresh concepts with a desire to see their designs become a reality through large format printing and production.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Create original designs, concepts and layouts of signs, banners and vehicle graphics
-Prepress original designs as well as provided client artwork for large format digital printing
-Coordinate and communicate with sales team and clients
-Print/produce graphics for production/installation
-Work closely with production/installation team to coordinate designs through to completion
-Assist in the production and installation of signs, banners and vehicle graphics
-Assist with walk-in clients and answering phones
Requirements:
Qualified candidates MUST have a strong work ethic, take pride in their work, and be self-motivated in addition to the following:
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-Professional, upbeat, positive attitude
-Ability to work in a fast paced, occasionally high pressure environment
-Demonstrate extreme attention to DETAIL in design work
-Maintains an organized, clean and professional work space at all times
-Ability to prioritize jobs based on due dates, complexity, etc.
-BA in design or related field, or equivalent experience
-Prior professional experience in the graphic/commercial art or related field
-Have a valid driver license, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
-Able to lift 50lbs
-Proficient in graphic design software such as Corel, Photoshop, Illustrator. Sign Design/Production experience is a plus, but not required. Candidate will also be trained on the use of various printing machinery (Wide Format Printers, Digital Printers, Vinyl Plotters, Laminator, etc.)
