Perf Cut with Photo Gloss Paper

I have a side project I am working on not work related, but can a perf-cut be done on PhotoBase Paper. We have a Roland BN-20. I want to make a stencil for text.

Does the BN-20 come with a pen holder and do you have one? In that case I'd draw the pattern with the pen installed and cut it out by hand with a knife.
