Question Placing LED modules in Reverse Channel Letters

Hello everyone,

When you work on reverse channel letters, where do you obtain better results with illumination?

- Applying the modules in the letters?
- Applying the modules in the clear backer?

If you go with option 1 - do you still paint the interior case in white?

Thank-you in advance!

Typically we mount them on the polycarb but it mostly depends on your background wall. If you mount them on the back of the letter meaning the metal part you don't need to paint the interior. We do 95% on polycarb.

Thank-you for the answer!! Which factors in the background wall would influence the decision?

Sometimes letters go on a gloss / semi gloss background no necessarily a stucco wall maybe a painted sign cabinet and to eliminate any reflection from the lighting you'll need to diffuse the leds, but if you are going on stucco or painted wall should be fine either way.
