Question Plastic Extrusion

GTsigns

New Member
Hello,
Have recently serviced a few larger shaped signs (Ovals or otherwise) that have a plastic Angle used as a frame.
My question is does anyone know what plastic is used.... eg. acrylic or PVC... etc.

We have an order for a shaped sign I would like to use this product on..

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply.
I am familiar with Gemtrim/jewelite/silvatrim products...
This is a 1.5” x 1.5” extruded angle that looks as though it’s been formed to the shape of the sign face with heat.
I just don’t know the plastic used PVC/acrylic or otherwise.
Most recently encountered it on a steel art built oval Tim hortons face.
We’ve done the same thing using aluminum but I feel as though the plastic would be much easier to form to the shape.

Outwater Plastics has a variety of plastic corner angles. Glantz also sells aluminum f-clip a soft bendable aluminum retainer which (supposedly) hardens over time. Depending on the size/shape of the sign, I'd use trimcap though.
