Need Help Rally/Racing/Side Stripe Templates

Hello,

New to forum.

I am looking to purchasing Rally/ Racing/Side Stripes templates for vehicles. I have been getting inquiries about stripes more than usual and normally outsource as usually don't sell much of these. Now out of nowhere I am being asked left and right. Have been looking on line and no luck. I have called quite a few companies on line and no luck. Can someone help me direct me to the right website where I can purchase a DVD/CD of these templates. Thank you in advanced.

Looking for something like Pro Vehicles Outlines 2016 but of stripes. I called PVO and they don't have anything what I am looking for.

This is what I am looking for:

When it comes to straight down the middle, this is the easiest process. Just measuring the lengths of section needed. But when some of the stripes follow the vehicle's body line or hood scoops, hood shapes it is more complicated.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

You could try lo or med tack masking tape and trace the curves if the panel is flatish...like on the Carmaro.
Carefully remove and put on a wall
Stand back and take a hi-res photo
Resize in your sign program and vectorise.

I had to do a kit for a car, found a picture of the kit on the net, traced that and resized to fit. (luckily it was hi enough res to do a good trace with minimal clean up) One offs I have used Knifeless Tape.

I think its shouldn't be too hard using the bezier tool and tracing them.
Providing you can get a level pic.

The company actually has PVO 2012 but they are behind 4 years now and people are getting newer cars. I know PVO doesn't have all the different models of a particular vehicle or event the top view Which is why they were trying to buy the vector files for the stripes. Honestly I did not think it was really difficult to buy these. I understand getting a picture and actually creating the stripes is a bit time consuming but the company I work for was trying to avoid all of this.

One of my co-worker did mention to me about Restylers Choice which I did see they don't sell the vector files. Although was planning on getting images of complete stripes and retracing and scaling to see if these works.

Do appreciate the help from everyone. Thanks.

You can't just trace contours from PVO files; they are great for wraps, but the 2D contours just are never going to be perfect representations of the actual 3D cars. Most of the time you are just gonna have to get real intimate with knifeless tape.

Can you not use standard vehicle templates? I would think that would be the easiest, than you could plot them any time as well as show client a proof. Another option would be to use knifeless tape and take measurements at specific points so that way you could repeat it on other vehicle if needed.

Gotta agree with everyone on this one - make it from scratch to fit the custom contours of the vehicles that come to you or get real comfortable with knifeless tape - it's what we do for any pin stripping or the like.

Here's a link of a decal shop that offer most of the graphics you are referring to... They focus on that kinda of decal set so why not letting someone else do the homeworks while you can reply to customers' requests? Maybe you can contact 'em to see if they work a discount for you over a certain volume (?)

They have A LOT of graphics for any car mfg, limited edition models, ...

Take a look:
eBay

* they use quality cast material...
