Regular vinyl vs. digitally printed one

Lets say, I have a job that I need to install and I would need to use white cast vinyl.
I get there and the surface is a bit more curvy than I expected.

Can I use digital cast with air release instead? (Lets say I have that in stock instead going out and buying a roll of color change)
Do I need to laminate it or just a white (lets say) Oracal 3751RA will work?

I do not have a project for this, I'm just wondering if the inkjet vinyl is supposed to be used as just a regular vinyl and if it will work without a laminate on top.

Thanks

laminate will aid installation. I cant possibly see why it wouldnt work, plenty of wraps with white elements which are just exposed print vinyl

if its just white, then no need for lamination. it may help with installation, but then you are doubling the cost of your material where simply masking it would assist just the same, at a much less expensive cost of production.
