Removal

I have a utility van that was wrapped some time ago and the customer wanted it removed. One side of it came off fairly smooth, the vinyl is just real old and brittle, my guess its been on the vehicle for almost 5 years...but one side took me about 2.5 hours or so. Now i'm on the other side and it doesn't want to peel up in big pieces at all. Is there any suggestions you guys may have to make this a little easier?

Thanks.

I've been using a heat gun, but it is fairly cold here and windy outside...

Alright. Just is tough. I have all my equipment and am doing it pretty much out of my house, but finding business is where i'm havin' trouble. All my stuff I started out doing was all friends that race at silver dollar. I don't really have any contacts down here other than my parents haha. You guy's staying busy up there?

:frustrated:Peel & Cleans, oh the days I want to forget.

:bushmill:Alcohol therapy.

In this case, make sure the customer has good insurance....:birthday:

Never mind that last advice (sort of a relapse)

Heat gun, torch, torpedo, sun, infared, long fingernails, patience and lastly

ALWAYS CHARGE WAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS TYPE OF JOB! Then double it.

Fellers has a chemical that you can put on the vinyl and it helps break it loose...I would look into that if good old fashioned elbow grease is killing you.

Recently we have thrown removals out the window. We linked up with a local shop in the city that does vehicle painting.. they pull it inside their heater for 30 minutes at a good temperature.. walk in and the graphics are nice and soft and they remove away.
