DIY Printer Fixing Guide
I'm pretty sure they just announced these for North America so I don't think you will find a lot of people who have any experience with them yet. The machine is basically a Roland printer with Richo heads instead of Epson heads. The specs are fairly unremarkable as far as speed and resolution goes. If it were me I would stick with what I know works or get a model that has been around and proven for a while. No need to pay to be a guinea pig. Nothing against the Richo heads, they are used in the Mimaki JFX200 and work great, I just don't trust new systems right of the bat as a rule.

What would you suggest to replace it with my dealer has a used vs 300 for 10,500 with set up and warranty or new 12.900 for sg 300

I fell your pain my main board on the SP300V gave out a little over a month ago as well, in the end it would have costed me more to repair than the machine is worth..

I have a VG series them and the SG are fairly close and both the newer models. and i agree with what was said earlier, if I could have waited for another year before buying a machine i would have. Dont get me wrong the VG and i presume the SG as they are pretty close work great as you would expect from a new machine (so far) there is just some minor things they should have thought of before releasing.

The VS is already proven to be a work horse and all the little kinks already worked out. Just talk to your dealer. from my understanding the VS series is to be discontinued here soon. so i would imagine the parts market and support will be slowly fading out.
